RECEPTION: Monday, May 4th, 2015, 4pm to 7pm
The McNish Art Gallery at Oxnard College proudly presents the 10th Annual Juried Student Art Show, May 4 through May 19. A reception for the student artists will take place on Monday, May 4, 4:00-7:00 pm at the McNish Gallery with an awards ceremony at 4:30. OC President, Dr. Duran will select President’s Choice Award winners. The artwork selected will be part of OC’s permanent collection and displayed throughout the college. The Annual Student Show displays fine works of art by Oxnard College students in beginning, intermediate and advance levels of studio Art courses including drawing, painting, design and digital art. Artwork will be for sale.
The 10th Annual Juried Student Art Show was juried by local, professional artist, Monica Furmanski. Mrs. Furmanski has taught Art Appreciation, 2-D Art and Digital Photography for Oxnard and Ventura Colleges. She is the owner and gallery director of 643 Project Space in Ventura.
The McNish Art Gallery is located at 4000 South Rose Avenue at Oxnard College and welcomes public viewing four times a week. The show is free and open to the public. Parking is $2.
